Moving Clients to new site but want to show up under old site
I moved three computers to our sister company next door (different subnet, different site) and computers uninstalled the sms client as they left their assigned boundry. How to rename Workstations with SMS
Just rename the workstation like normal.. SMS should pickup the new name and tie it to the existing SMS GUID that is stored in the C:\WINNT\SMSCFG.INI. You need to be on SMS 2.0 SP3+ to avoid a bug that will duplicate the records. Claud- ClaudCutler3
