These files are actually part of the database. They are continuations of the *.db file. Do not delete these. If you did you should restore the DB from before you did this and merge any jobs since then.

I just did the same install a few days ago and didn't that message. You should have the Arcserve manager installed on a workstation before installing the server though.
LOL! I'm sorry but this was just too funny. Our Arcserve database is about 5 gig per backup server. We have 4 servers. And yes, moving arcserve is about the easiest thing to do with it.
I run concurrent jobs every night and my suggestion would be to do as the person above said and also offset the jobs by a half hour. This way they don't try to backup the database at the same time.
