    MySQL ODBC connection error

Sorry. Ignore the above. The error is internal to the application - nothing to do with the connection per se. That is working fine.

    MySQL ODBC connection error

Hi. I have a Macromedia Director application talking to an Access DB via ODBC connection. Now trying to switch from Access to MySQL as the backend. Have installed MySQL and created DSN fine (I think), and have used MySQL-Front to import data from access. But my connection string is returning the...

Office System Pack language problem packaging runtime Access applicatn

Hi. I'm trying to package up an Access application for distribution with the Runtime version of Access - it's got to go to every doctor in the UK! I'm working with XP Developer, and the packaging wizard creates the package no problem. But when I come to install the application on computers which...

Conditional page breaks in a long report

Just tried this. But the ForceNewPage property in the sub-reports is being ignored - in fact all the Page/Report Header and Footer sections in the sub-reports are ignored - and only their Detail sections are included when the main report prints. Is there some way of affecting this? Thanks.

Conditional page breaks in a long report

Hi Is there a simple way of associating a page break with a control, so that if the control (in this case sub-report) shifts to take the place of another 'shrunken' control, the page break moves with it? I have a series of sub-reports each with a page break directly after it. If the data for a...

Using a list box in a query?

If I understand you correctly.. Create a single query with linking Name and Order tables together. Just take the Name field(s) from the Name table (not the address stuff) and then include all the Order fields you want. You can then stick the Like parameter (as above) into the Name field. (Are...

Using a list box in a query?

Sorry to butt in. For a similar name search I've used the same sort of parameter query as you did with your [Enter Name:] criteria. But if you use the 'Like' function along with * wildcards, you get loads of flexibility. If you stick Like "*" & [EnterName:] & "*" in the...

Form appearing blank when no records to be displayed

Phil If there are no records, I don't really want to exit. I just want all the normal fields on the form to be displayed without data, and let the user decide if they want to proceed with creating a new record by clicking the New button. Following p27br's suggestion, I've stuck the Year select...

Form appearing blank when no records to be displayed

p27br. Thanks for this. But this still leaves me with the body of the form 'disappeared'. I would like all the usual fields to be showing - but just to be empty. Is it not possible to have the form appear as 'normal' (just empty) if there is no underlying record? I suppose I could shift all the...

Form appearing blank when no records to be displayed

Hi I've got a form for medical practices to fill in details of their team members. At the top of the form is an unbound Year combo box, allowing user to select the year they want. The team details are then contained in a subform. At the top of the subform is a list box with the team members...
