    Hi. I have a 5.0.7 system that was running great until this morning. Messages scrolling nonstop "INIT: command respawning too rapidly" on tty01 - tty12 and tty2a. I can't pass this stage, and can't even login to the server, not even in single user mode; the messages start prior to mainainance...

    Ok thanks guys, but I'm still where I started. How can I make it report a xeon processor instead of i80386?

    Installed openserever 5.0.7 with maint. pack4 on an IBM x226 server with intel xeon processor. Uname -X reports the machine as "i80386". In previous releases a patch was available to correctly identify the processor type. Anybody knows if there is a patch or an update thar I missed? Thanks

    Hi. If you are still looking for an answer, then go to your wp directory, cd /usr/wp51/shbin. now execute "setusers". Hope that helps
