    Thanks for your response! Yes, I did choose to use the Veritas drivers, even tried installing them again. The DLT 7000 drive is a SUN device - do you think that might be a problem?

    I have installed BackupExec v.8.6 on a Windows Server with a DLT 7000 tape drive. Althought it shows up in the device manager, BackupExec does not detect the tape drive.
