    The controller sits before the hard drive, ie operates the hard drive. DMA is Direct Memory Access usually used for DVD-Rom software, for better quicker performance, in ME if you go through "system properties", and then select the hard drive, open hidden menu to change the settings

    Try reducing the frequency if it as perhaps 75Hz, try reducing it to 65Hz
