w2k server SLOW to connect to XP
I was using active directory but I re-installed win2k yesterday and have not upgraded to it again yet. I am still having the same slow connectivity problem after the re-install. I will set up WINS on the server and hopefully that will help. (thanx) I was not even able to get the two systems...- setfree

Yes, I am using a Linksys Router to connect my computers and share an internet connection. DHCP in enabled on the router and disabled on the server. Both systems using dynamic I.P.'s. I have tried using static I.P.'s on both machines with the same results. I believe I have tried all...- setfree

w2k server SLOW to connect to XP
I have a home network running win2k server and windows XP home connected through a cable router. Everything seems to work fine accept that it take a very long time for the server to connect/browse the XP machine. However the XP machine can browse the server instantly. Pinging from server to XP...- setfree
