PC "beeping" constantly but otherwise works normally
Definately sounds like a problem with your motherboard. Unless it is a really old crappy DOS game, most programs you would run won't actually use the PC Speaker at all, so it sounds most like an alert generated by the motherboards hardware monitoring processes.
