    scheduling backup on cron

    I am new to Linux...I got a question on backup I just insalled a tape drive on a lInux box and the O/S saw it fine when it booted. How do I schedule backup on cron on red hat Linux...like backing up the whole /export/home every night. Thanks in advance Thanks

    id returns 'Killed'

    I logged in to a SCO box as root..and when I do 'id' it gives me 'killed'. I do 'who am i'...It gives root. what could have caused the problem? The system does not know me as root because I tried to install a package and I am getting error saying I am not a superuser so I cant install it...
