Why not just assign each group its own logon script? It works on my lan.

I would enable Global Catalog server on a second DC. After all, GC enables network logon by providing universal group membership information to a domain controller when a logon process is initiated.

SP2 was already on the server, I ran nslookup and found out that it was a dns problem.

Use SRVMGR.EXE located in %SystemRoot%\System32\SRVMGR.EXE You should see a list of DCs. Right click on the DC you want to promote and you should get a drop menu on options to do so. Bob Kolbasowski
