Hi all,
How do you add printers in your NT 4.0 domain? Going around to each individual and setting them doesnt' seem very effecient. Is there a way to do this thru a dos script or some other means? Thanks in advance!
rdodge, Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately I was already aware of this information.
I'm quite certian it is my code setting the option group to a string that causes the buttons to gray. However, I need to have a record changed to a string value - not a number.
Any more suggestions?
Hi all..
Ok there are about a million access forms, but I figure I'll start here =)
I have a form that contains six groupings of three radio buttons:
Score1
N/A, Iron, Halo
Score2
N/A, Iron, Halo
...
I need to make this form store the information to print out on a report. So if Score1 has...
Hi guys, OK, I admit - newb question - but I'm pretty desperate as my googling hasn't dispayed the help I need.
I have a form that has a series of option button groups. I woudl like these optinos to change data to be displayed in a report. So I have something like this:
Form1:
Opt1=1
Opt2=2...
This is going a bit OT - we should quickly return to the original topic - but it's still somewhat related: How do you handle spyware? I was shocked by the large volume of spy apps on this system and found I needed at least two apps to remove them. I believe they were degrading performance...
Well I'm not talking slowness from day one - but rather a gradual progression... Had memory been the issue, I would believe it would be apparent even on the first day of operations...
Thank you guys for these excellent tips... I will try them this evening to see how they work.
BTW, that page suggests using services.msc vs msconfig to change start services =P just in case u didn't catch it...
Hi all,
I have a computer that I am trying to optimize. It is quite slow. I have run defrag (which was at 13% fragmation), and removed tons of spyware. The system seems to have gone from very slow to just slow. Are there any other things I can do to speed the thing up? Upon factory install...
I could protect my ego and just not follow up to this thread or simply admit a VERY STUPID mistake... Last night I went home to try the steps suggested. After switching power cables and outlets w/the computer and monitor, I noticed the monitor did not work. Since I was not fully ready to...
I have both. The CPU fan is drawing power from the mobo, but the exhaust and intake fans use power directly from the powersupply... Oh yes, and of course there is the fan in the PS.
I was watching the CPU and intake/exhuast fans before - I should look at the PS fan as well, I guess (in a...
These are all excellent suggestions! Since I'm rather pressed for time may I do the following:
1) Swap power cables
2) Swap power outlets
3) Using a known good ATX case, put the jumper to that switch
4) Unplug all perpherials (not CPU and RAM tho?)
5) Hit the switch and pray
A bad CPU and RAM...
This is encoraging news viol8ion! Or at least it provides hope that I may not need to shell out $70+ for a new mobo =). I cheked the switch in the sense that I made sure the wires connected to the mobo. But as far as physically checking if the switch was completing the circuit - I'm not sure...
Hi all,
Yesterday I tried to turn on the computer but received no response. My initial reaction was to check the plugs to make sure nothing had been kicked out of place. Everthing was fine. Next I replaced the powersupply thinking that it died. Still no response. My next logical conclusion...
Hi all,
I haven't actually been able to witness this problem first hand so I'm basing it on what the user has told me. The remote user is using a WinTerm thru an ADSL connection to our Citrix 1.8 MF server. The user then claims to answer the phone and returns back to her computer to continue...
Well, I have various sites that may expand in the future. Sites run roughly 15-50 users at 10/100 Mbps. These sites may expand in the future on a user by user basis. I don't expext any expantion to exceed 5-15 users in the near future. It would be nice to be able to save money by using PNA...
Hi all,
I looked for a 'general networking' forum but had no luck. So this is where the thread ended up (by all means let me know if you know of a more appropriate location for this discussion).
I would like to know if any of you have used or heard anything about the powerline network...
