Jad,thanks for your followup. I got around the problem by replacing the notorious RockWell video card. Now I am trying to setup Apache web server. Do you know where I can find this kind of howtos? thanks, jad, it's "successfully" installed on the 2nd drive by chosing both boot and fdisk on it, withou touching the 1st one. BIOS has not been modified to default solaris boot, but a device configuration/Boot floppy is used to boot saloris. Now the problem: the computer halts...- 1190
