    No Bullets in Word

    I don't know if Word 97 works like Word 2000, but in Word 2000 to set the default to automatically insert numbered bullets go to: Format>Autoformat>Options> and check the box Automatic Bulleted Lists

    Old Dos Program Won't Work In XP

    This may not help, but I was able to run some old dos programs in XP by setting the compatibility option to Win95. Worth a try before you invest any $$. Tom

    WinXP upgrade or full version

    I have done a "clean" install of WinXP (Home Upgrade) on a new HD, and it went very smoothly. As the previous responder stated, all you need to to is have your upgrade qualifying CD available to pop in when the XP installation asks for it. Tom
