I know how to encode my videos, I simply don't get the same results as I see in ordinary divx movies. Do you people use the default settings when encoding in premiere, and what kind of quality do you get?
When I encode my videos (from my dv-cam) using the divx codec, I get far from the same results if you compare with your average dvd-rip. I was just wondering how such quality is achieved? I use the default settings.
From time to time when I'm using the Divx5.0 codec I get a sort of purple haze in my videos. Is this usual (as in does it have a name)? and are there ways to reduce it?
I have been very successful compressing the video of my movies, but the audio always keep the filesizes up for me. Are there any good codecs out there that produce a good result while at the same time reducing filesize? Right now I'm not compressing the audio at all. I've tried the mpeg3-codec...
I'm getting huge files with uncompressed sound and when I tried the mpeg-3 codec it didn't work. I got that disk size error you've probably heard of by now. It's version 5.1 of Premiere. I've got Winamp already, so I ought to have the codec I think, but I have no idea how to get it to work.
