The plot thickens . . . I have a CD drive that runs off the PCMCIA slot (the CD drive has its own power source).
With the CD connected, it is dead - no power light or anything. When I remove the PCMCIA card from the slot, the CD powers up!

I have a large QIC file wproduced in WIN95.
How do I restore this in NT 4.0 when the backup exec only deals in tape drives? And Microsoft say that the two operating systems produce incompatible QIC files?
