remote control software

Another option I am currently testing is PEEK software which allows one to take over the screen and let your keystrokes be seen by others. We are trying to use this as a training vehicle to train users how to use our software by showing them the correct keystrokes. The company that make this...

Seagate TR4 tape drives and SCO 5.0.5 prob

Thanks Jimbolya for responding to my query. I have logged in as root before and at the # ran tar tv6 to get a directory of the tape drive. I may or may not get a directory of the tape drive. I would then run the above steps to reset the default tape drive and reset the computer. I was hoping...

I have a weird problem in SCO 5.0.5 and I do not know where to go next. My customers are using Seagate TR-4 Atapi tape drives and are getting the message "Can not open /dev/rStp0" when they try to backup or read their tape drives. I need to run a mkdev tape choose 1) SCSI/Enhanced IDE...

    SCO IDE drivers

The Signal 8 comes from SCO complaining about the amount of RAM to use to install. The problem first occurred with a system having 16MB of RAM. SCO's solution to this is to increase the number of buffers by typing at the Boot prompt nbuf=100 Or you could use more RAM as mentioned before

    Unable to dial into Modem

    Danny,

You said you set the baud rate to 9600 in inittab but "o" is not 9600, "m" is 9600, "o" would be 38400. I hope this helps, since we set all of our customers' modems to a speed of 9600.

Take care,
Dialing into SCO Unix 5.0.5 with Procomm 4.8

    Hi Ed,

I don't exactly know why but my software talks to tty2a as a modem port and it works. We have a proprietary modem program which sets the SCO box modem, a USR 33.6 external modem attached to tty2a, to autoanswer. We can then login, get to a # sign and run our...

Dialing into SCO Unix 5.0.5 with Procomm 4.8

    Thanks AndyBo and edfair:

It took a while but I finally got the dialin working. The modem on the SCO side is attached to tty2a and /etc/ttytype for tty2a is set to wy60 tty2a. I had to create a user in /usr to allow dialin without affecting...

Dialing into SCO Unix 5.0.5 with Procomm 4.8

    Ed,

Thank you for your suggestion. I edited .profile in root directory, (since I log in as root) and added eval `tset -s` to the .profile file. I then logged out and came back in. I typed set and env and TERM=ansi, not wy60 as set in my /etc/ttytype file for...

    Andy,

Thanks for responding so quickly to my query. We have already tried logging in as root and making sure that in the .profile for root there is a TERM=wy60 and export TERM line. Any other ideas?
keyboard remapping for Mandrake 7.0

    AndyBo,

Thanks for answering so quickly. The application I am running runs fine on SCO OpenServer 5.0.5 which is our current O/S. We can get the keys to work well in SCO by editing the termcap file. When we edit the termcap file for Mandrake 7.0 the changes do not take effect. In...
