E-mailing large Word 2000 files
In my experience with similar docs, the PDFs are much smaller than the original Word docs. An easy way to reduce file size (if you're not doing this already) is to click File | Save As, instead of File | Save. Protect Powerpoint
One way to protect your presentation is to save and close it. Then using Windows Explorer, locate the file, right-click on it and select Properties. In the Properties dialog box, click the Read Only checkbox. This is not foolproof, of course, but nothing else is either.- ronhatcher

Determining Notes Release number
When I click on Help | About Notes, the splash screen informs me that I am running version 5.0.4a, but I was supposedly upgraded recently to 5.0.7a. I suspect the splash screen was just not revised, but how can I tell for sure? I searched the registry for any mention of either 5.0.4 or 5.0.7...- ronhatcher
