    Netflow extra traffic ?

Thanks for the reply Vipergg. I did some simple calculations and I noticed that my 72xx router has about 1000 flows. 1 netflow version 5 packet contains 30 flows. 1000/30 = 33 netflow packets a second. 1 netflow packet = 1,5k. So that's like 33x1,5 = about 50k/sec if the routers is busy. 50k...

    Cisco 2610 Routing Problems

Al the BRI interfaces have a dialer map. The Ip route maps the destination IP range to a dialer map. For instance : interface BRI1/0 dialer map ip 192.168.1.2 name draytek broadcast 3142790 ip route 170.157.1.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.2 If a host wants to connect to another host/server in...

    Bandwidth

We use a Packeteer to throttle the bandwith. It offers a quality of service and it can shape the traffic.

Cisco Netflow adds how much extra CPU + Bandwith ?

The next thing I need to try and find out is the bandwith consumption of the Netflow information that is transported from the router to the Netflow collector. Any Idea ?

    MIB for 72xx

I'm not completely sure but i think the 72xx doesn't have a MIB board but : The system memory and management functions reside on the I/O controller and the network processing engine So you would have to look for a NPE and not a MIB. (Don't know for sure, never worked with this kind of router)

Cisco Netflow adds how much extra CPU + Bandwith ?

Hmm ok thanks for your help, i think we are going to install NAM boards into the routers so the CPU doesn't have to process the extra information. Thanks for you help.

Maybe a problem with the clockrate ? Is it the correct clockrate and is it on the correct interface ? Dce or Dte ?

Cisco Netflow adds how much extra CPU + Bandwith ?

So you also think 50% cpu increase is a little to much, but it should be more like 25% ? 45000 flows is a lot for a small 2600 router right ? For a backbone router that could be normal ? I don't know how to get the flow information. Is the flow information only available on a 72xx router with...

Cisco Netflow adds how much extra CPU + Bandwith ?

Thanks for the reply routerman, 1. So if I understand the sample correct, the 133 active flows are currently active and the 65403 inactive where active before. What is the highest amount of flows you ever had ? (if i may ask) 2. I've also found something about memory usage of netflow in the...
