    DSL filter on phone dialer

    I have a Honeywell home security system - if alarm goes off, automatic phone dialer kicks in and dials up monitoring company which dispatches police etc. Installing a DSL filter ahead of this may not be easy - could I give the phone dialer a try, or would the high frequency damage the dialer...

    Dreamboat - Thanks for your advice.....although renaming the normal.dot file did not affect this minor problem, your FAQ is excellent, and I'll try out some of the other things when I can in a few days. - will post the results if successful.

    Thanks Matt, but I may have to replace this (upgraded) 100MHz computer to eliminate this odd problem. The reluctant dialog box is "Find and Replace".

    The first time Edit/Find is used, it takes 17 seconds for the Find and Replace box to appear. With subsequent attempts, the box appears almost instantly. Any tips? Thanks.
