    USR Modem vs. AMD Processor

    Actually it has nothing to do with the AMD processor at all as such works perfectly with the modems. It can be influenced by the motherboard chipset in some cases but in the vast majority of cases it is simply a driver issue. I've worked with USR for ages (hardware modems... winmodems are bad)...
