Do you know what that setting is called? I only see a setting called "Device Notification for Unreceived Message" but it's off for everyone, and nobody else seems to have the same issue.
I can leave someone a voicemail as a test and I hear their welcome message, etc. But then the message waiting lamp just turns on once then goes off. Then when they check their messages, there's no voicemails. Has anyone encountered this and knows how to fix it? Thanks.
I think I got it working. Now they're asking me if it's possible to have the calls they miss (that are answered by another station) not show up as missed calls. I wouldn't think that's possible, but is there maybe a way to change that?
Thank you. For the ICD group I set up, do people have to use the floating extension of the group rather than just call that specific extension directly? For example, if I want all incoming calls from 3601 to also ring on 3600 and 3602, can I set my NS700 to ring on all three just by creating the...
I have a call pickup group and an incoming call distribution list set up to include three front desk phones at our Elementary School, and everything looks correct, but I can't get all three of them to ring when one is called. What is the easiest/best way to have this work? Thank you.
Here's something I found out: if I punch the 4-digit extension into my phone and then press speakerphone, it will dial like normal and the call will go through. It's only with the "conventional" method of picking up the handset and then dialing that I get the error.
Please pardon my ignorance, but when you say change the operators extension, do you mean change my desk phone to use their extension? Just so I don't have to travel between buildings?
Thanks, I'll give it a try. What does 790 do? And I found out more information on this issue from people in the building, they're saying nobody from the middle school can 4-digit dial the high school. Does that open up other things to check for and try?
This is my 2nd year with this PBX. There's some people's 4-digit extension, even if they're in another building at another address in our district, where instead of being able to directly dial them by extension - it will give me a message on my phone that says "Message On" and the call ends up...
Hi, thanks for the reply. We do have a recorded menu message through class of service if that's what you mean. For this issue, it ended up being a time of day thing, I just don't remember where I found it.
I work at a school system and one of our school admins wants the main phone to ring to her desk and the vice principals desk after school gets out. Where in the PBX would I set that up? Thanks.
Suddenly one of our building phones just goes to voicemail when called, doesn't ring at all. We have an NS700 PBX system that runs all our phones. Any ideas what might be wrong? None of the settings in the PBX have changed recently.
We're a small school system with 5 total school buildings. Our network originates from the Middle School and emanates out from there to all the schools, then it loops back through our MX here at the Middle School. Fairly regularly, we have phone issues where it seems like phones are working but...
