I suppose it's possible, but I doubt it because the logins failed the day after the cert expired. I'm not sure if the x.509 cert would have this effect, but perhaps other things expired that would screw up logins at the same time that I wasn't aware of.
Any idea what would cause logins to stop...
Yea those logins don't work...and nothing in SAL. I've gone thru all of my VMs that I have logins for checking the /etc/hosts file and none of them have it. Any way to reset logins on SM from another VM?
hmmmm the next wrinkle would be that I don't know what the logins are for SM. The admin or root logins I use on other VMs don't work on SM. Having trouble finding documentation for clues on the logins as well. Any thoughts on default logins to try for SM? Or another VM to find SMGR info in?
This probably sounds incredibly dumb and it's probably a long shot, but I don't know where to locate SMGR for my Avaya Aura v6.3 system. It's a decade-old system installed by a contractor who left barely any documentation for what they did. I have a handful of IP addresses for various VMs like...
Shoot, that's what I was afraid of. Truth be told, I wasn't really sure if I'd get what I wanted out of those IPSI contacts. Still not sure if I can have the G430s SNMP direct to the IMCI. I know it communicates SNMP to mothership, but I haven't looked too hard at that aspect. Anyways, thanks...
Thanks again for the detailed responses.
I'd need it to be physically wired from something in my G650 to my alarm aggregating box. Nothing else is doable--I can't tell the G430s to send SNMP traps directly to the mothership, they have to hit this aggregator box first. The aggregator box (IMCI...
Yea the IPSI contacts are a gray area for me. I wired them out to my alarm aggregator and within the CM interface I issued a test trap and it does appear to fire those IPSI contacts. But that was only me testing from the CM interface. I'm not sure if any G430 traps coming into CM would generate...
Yea I believe it's CM 6.3. Honestly, I'd prefer not to manually log in once a day and check--that's not really how things work here. We have a separate alarm aggregating device that many things wire into, and then that aggregator is monitored 24/7 by our internal network operations center. We'd...
Thank you for your reply. Apologies if my questions seem uninformed--my Avaya system was installed about a decade ago by contract and comes with little-to-no documentation of that installation nor do I have any coworkers that were around during the install that I can ask questions of. It's all...
Hmm I do see it there, but it's currently set for 60 and I can clearly demonstrate that reorder tone hits after 10 seconds and itself lasts for another 30 seconds before releasing the trunk. These times just don't seem to be adding up.
Running Aura System Platform v6.3, and I'm hoping to extend the duration of dial-tone that the user receives upon offhook.
Reorder tone hits after 10seconds of dial-tone, but I have a specific trunk that interfaces with a VHF system and 10seconds is likely not long enough for users to know...
Many aspects of our Avaya setup are unknown since it was installed by contract almost a decade ago, and all of our SMEs have retired without bestowing any wisdom. I've been trying to log into various VMs and some of them appear to need their admin account passwords reset before I can do so...
Hmm, entries in almsnmpconf =/= the SNMP Traps page in CM. Apologies, I'm no Avaya expert and our setup is a bit of a blackbox in terms of all of the VMs in play. We've got a handful of G430's that I'm trying to get to send SNMP alarming to the CM server, but they don't always seem to get...
I'm unable to remove multiple entries from the SNMP Traps page in CM. Upon checking each checkbox and clicking Delete, I receive an error stating that I've made no selections (e.g. it's like I've clicked Delete without choosing an entry to delete, but that's not the case). Is there a way to...
