Thanks for the help!! I've managed to get it going beautifully with the code below. (I moved away from the SQL bits completely and went with Form.RecordsetClone to get the subform data. Inserting the data into word isn't such a problem, I can create a table in the word doc and have the data insert record for record into the table. I'm busy testing code that can do that now.
