Moving cards from Opt11C to MG1010 - is this possible?

I just had the top half of an Opt11C cabinet die, but we have a spare MG1010 cabinet. Is it possible to just move the cards over if they're put in the same slot numbers? Will any re-configuration be required? Thank you so much for any advice you can provide. Edit: I just wanted to update this...

CS1000E rel 7.6 sending INVITE without SDP

Thanks, bignose. I see you replying on here regularly and I appreciate you taking the time to try helping people out. Do you know if there is any way to disable SIP INVITEs w/o SDP from being sent by the CS1K? This would be the easiest solution if it's possible. Edit: Also, do you happen to...

CS1000E rel 7.6 sending INVITE without SDP

I'm dealing with an issue where inbound calls that are first answered on our CS1000 and subsequently transferred to voicemail experience no audio when the call hits voicemail. To summarize, this is being caused by the CS1000 sending an INVITE back to the ITSP as it's transferring the call to...

    CS1000E - Can't find how to disable G.729

ahh I finally found it in Element Manager. Under IP Network -> Media Gateway, I didn't realize the "Type" column was a list of hyperlinks (all named MGC of course). clicking on one for a particular IPMG gave me a page of settings that included codecs.

    CS1000E - Can't find how to disable G.729

hey thanks for responding. I think I'm seeing what you're referring to. If I run the "vgwShowAll" command in Element Manager, I can see the g.729 codec listed on all of the channels, but how do I edit this? Is this something I would edit within Element Manager? All of the MGCs are registered to...

    CS1000E - Can't find how to disable G.729

Hello, This forum has been a great help for a lot of questions I've had with the Nortel CS1000E (rel. 7.6) environment I've inherited. I just wanted to thank everyone for their contributions of Nortel knowledge. I'm trying to correct an issue we've been facing for who-knows-how-long and have...
