mxap, could you share what you did to get it working? I am having a similar problem getting a cash drawer to work with a Posiflex POS terminal via OPOS. Thanks in advance!
DLI-8800 can be had used/refurbished on eBay for less than $100. Only disadvantage to them is that they are only 7" screens. That can be worked around with different screen designs, though.
Yes, they are Wifi. I haven't found any limitations in functionality vs a WS5 terminal. All POS functions, Manager Procedures, scripts and everything seem to run fine.
As for printing, for the tablet I went into User Workstations, Options and turn on "Enable Printer Destination Selection"...
Pretty much any Windows tablet can be used to run Micros. I've been testing it out on a RCA Cambio (10" tablet running Windows 10, $109 at Walmart) and it's been working well. All you have to do is install the CAL software on the tablet and set the device and workstation settings in POS...
We have been using Payment Logistics for about a year and a half now with Micros with no issues. They guarantee to match your existing processing rates, have a good selection of equipment options and their support is very responsive.
You can use the PRINT_TRAILER event to do that. Each event call can print up to 16 lines for you. You don't have to use them all, but 16 is the max per call.

For lottery sales, it sounds like you want to create a non-revenue service charge. The only limitation I know to non-revenue service charges is that there can only be one rung up per check. So, for example, if someone sells 10 lottery tickets worth $50 total, you just have to ring it once as...
In POS Configurator, go to System, Restaurant, Descriptions. On that tab, make sure Autostart Level is set to Front of House. That should take care of it.

Try going in to your \MICROS\Database\Data directory and deleting or renaming any file called micros.log. The file will be recreated on a successful database start. If it somehow gets corrupted it can prevent it from starting.
Oh, it exists...or at least it once did. Oracle still even has the docs for it. I just can't find the .exe anywhere.

Currently have 3700 v4.6 MR1, looking for one of two updates:
1. v4.11 MR7 patch/update
2. RES_4X_LRP.exe
Trying to go keyless on this system. I have the LRP for 5.x, but obviously that's not going to help me. Any help would be appreciated!
