    Thanks amriddle, that clears a lot of things up. We'll manage with just 2 lines, we have done for as long as I've been here, but good to know where I need to be going to get more sorted. Knowing management it was likely oversold, and an easy sell... But does give us a little room to work with...

    Then, if that's the case, what's the purpose of the other port on each? And why does Manager list 4 lines? where two of them are out of service? 1 and 2 are card 1 ports 9/10, and 5/6 are listed as card 2 ports 9/10 Can't wrap my head around why it's set up to have two useless lines...

    Please excuse the double post, but are ports 9 through 12 all trunk ports? And should the other two available ports on the NTE's be plugged into 11 and 12, and not 9/10 on the second card? Thanks, again. edit: little bit of investigation, the card itself says what 1 - 10 are, but no idea about...

    Thank you for a quick response. We have the second, only one port on each (the first of the two ports) is in use. the one on the left goes to port 9 (it's kinda tight, runs across the bottom, but I don't want to fiddle with it to loosen it a little in case I screw it all up), one on the right...
