Avaya R11 docs state that Park is supported using short codes. However, I have only been able to retrieve a parked call in this way. I've not been able to place an IX call to a park zone. Anyone have insight into this?
Definitely upgrade to latest SP before spending too much time.. just in case.
Are you sure that the SIP is using 711? Usually it's set to 729, then 711. SO ideally' you'd want both allowed on the IP Office, in that order. Also, what do you mean by site to site call? What do you mean by direct...
Does this only occur on transferred calls? If so, the fix for that is to turn on SIP refer in the IP Office SIP line settings.
If it is not transfer-related, but is specific to the 15-minute duration mark, I think you need to do some more testing with two phones on the same network. I'd test...
I agree with IPGuru, getting a packet capture would prove if the speech path is being dropped externally. You can listen to the RTP stream from wireshark too. With that as proof, you can push it back to the SIP provider.
Hi there Dave,
Intermittent one-way audio is a fun one... Do you know if it ever occurs on internal-only (extension to extension) calls? If it's isoalted to calls that involve the SIP trunks, then please send us a screenshot of the SIP settings in the IP Office configuration, and also the...
Matchbanker - That's good news. Glad it worked out!
Hi bachmonkeys,
That setting was not ticked, but good idea to check that along the way. We determined that the carrier was sending an early connect message to the IP Office when twinning started. It was making it so that the incoming call...
Ok, now I can confirm that my resolution was the same as bluemr2's. The BVoip technician upgraded the router firmware to 14.8.9, and then disabled the "send early connect" setting.
I'll do a security audit on your IP Office if you'd like.. port scan, and check remote management access. Usually these compromises come in through web management on 7070, 8443 or 9443... which should be closed off for external access, or made whitelist-only. Might be a good idea to change your...
Customer just mentioned that the twinning issue is resolved. I still have not been contacted by a single AT&T technical resource after calling in 3 times and submitting two express tickets that were auto-closed... It's just poor customer service. Anyways, sorry for the rant, but it seems like...
IPGuru: Oops, let me know if you still don't have it...Also, I'll try and report back once I get AT&T's attention about this. It might be helpful if I can find out which setting on the adtran/ AT&T equipment gets adjusted to fix it.
Yep, that's how I've always done it too, as 3rd party sip endpoints. I do not think the B169 has an official avaya SIP dect gateway... but the 3rd party stuff works great.
Thank you all for the help on this! I think this proves that the CO is sending a connect:
09:15:49 96690341mS ISDNL3Rx: v=1 peb=1
ISDN Layer3 Pcol=08(Q931) Reflen=2 ref=0026(Local)
Message Type = Connect
And, here's a larger portion of that part of the call. I hope...
Thanks for chipping in rlsabin! This issue does not seem to be user-specific, or twinned destination carrier-specific.
I think a more accurate description of this problem is "twinned calls are forwarding to the twin destination".. because the twinning part of the feature is working.. but the...
Hello Janni, thanks for checking in on this one. I'm not sure which setting you are referencing, but here's an image of the PRI settings. Still no word from AT&T :(https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=ebc297c2-47f7-4ec9-b775-3b5bf3a6ec8e&file=PRI.png
Hi there Tommy. It's a PRI handoff, provided by our good friends at AT&T ;). I've got a ticket opened with them (and they keep closing the tickets without talking to me).. typical.
Hi guys! Thanks for the responses! Totally agree with you Westi.. this one is a ghost. Yes, we have rebooted many times, and have 9 in front of the twinned destination. Actually, the problem is not with the caller making it to the twin destination.. it gets there fine. The problem is that once...
Hello IP Office Gurus, lurkers, and fellow internet users,
I have run into a weird problem. The twinning function is causing the call to the local IP Office user to drop. A call presents to the user but once it starts twinning the call that rings the desk phone is dropped.. so that the call is...
We've had the best success with embedded attendant audio files when we stick to this format for the attendant and audio file naming. If you don't follow these, the IP Office ends up changing file names for you, and we've noticed that it can cause playback issues.
Attendant Name = No more than...
