I wish I lived there at times.
As for the callpilot, I pestered one of my business contacts and paid him a visit (he installs E-MetroTel systems now) and had him check it out. He tried it on his workbench setup, swapped everything he could and still couldn't get it to show any signs of life...
If the daylight savings auto adjust is the only difference, I might as well go for the 7.0. I'm only going to add four extensions and a callpilot 150, so I shouldn't need the 8 Port TCM Expansion Card unless I decide to max it out with 24 extensions. Hopefully I'll have better luck with this...
Well it's finally happened. I need more than 8 extensions on my CICS that's installed in my house. I currently have the 7.0 res software and was wondering if there is much difference between 7.0 and 7.1. There are a couple of phone system suppliers near me, but they only have ver 6.1 and 7.0...
Curlycord, would one of the neighbourhoods where their converting to Fibre happen to be near the Toronto Congress Centre??
I'm looking after an alarm system in a shop that's just around the corner, and Bell is continually disconnecting the line to the alarm system. It's getting annoying as I...
Well it took me a few hours of reading through three manuals and playing around with the programming on my ksu, but I finally got it figured out.
Thanks for the ideas. I almost wish I got into phone work instead of alarm work.

Guess I Have a bit more learning to do about Hunt Groups unless I can use the speakers built into the sets as I'm not going to install paging speakers around my house.

I have a question for the Nortel gods on this site. Is it possible to have a BST doorphone ring all the extensions on a CICS ver 7.0 instead of just the first one?
Keep in mind I have minimum experience with Nortel systems. I've spent the last 36 years doing alarm, CCTV, access control, bell...
As of right now, I don't need more lines or extensions. I've used 6 sets in my house and a BST door phone at my front door, with 3 of the four lines connected (POTS from Bell Canada, Grandstream gateway, and a XLink BT HD adaptor for my cell.
I think the CICS is amazing. I'm wondering what...
Well it took me a few years (life got in the way) but I finally got around to doing more with the CICS I was given. I still can't read most of the label on the cartridge, but seeing as ho the SP has a DI in it, I'm assuming it's either 7.0.or 7.1 restricted. Is there any way to tell which one...
Thanks for the info. I tried a different cable with the 50 pin amp connector and managed to get ports 101 to 105 working, so it looks like 3 of the ports may be dead, which may explain why they gave it away. I do see CICS-RP with some smudged characters then an FC on the label that's on the card.
I've just been given a Nortel Compact ICS system with ver 7.1 software (restricted cartridge according to google) and a NT7B75AAAE line card and 8 M7324 phones. I'm checking it out before I decide to keep or sell it and currently have one question about it.
How many station ports are supposed...
