They are different releases using different hardware and as you progress through allowing more features.
CM2 is very out of date, dedicated Avaya hardware required etc.
CM6 is on generic servers or Virtualized solution with SIP integration amongst a number of changes.

I have seen the above thread, was there a resolution from Avaya?
I am having the same issue with a customer on CM6.3 and AAM 6.
