@pmas9999 Yes I have built the query without the formula and all runs fine. I have even just chosen bank, run, sequence and the formula and it is not happy. Subtract number field in command database
@Kray4660, yes it is a numeric field and if I bring it into Access or whatever, I can do table.field - 1 or +1 without any issues. Should be pretty simple. I do have it calculating in the Crystal report so no data mismatch there. I must be missing something or it cannot be done.- GoBear
