Thanks. It didn't do the trick. In the end I've used an add-in that detatched attachments to a folder. The .eml attachments I then import back into Outlook. Because they are now emails rather than attachments, I can apply rules. A bit convelouted, but it does the trick
Hi
I'm using Outlook 2003. We send out emails from some of our software systems. There is text in these emails that identify which client they are sent to.
Unfortunately a lot of emails bounce, so I'd like to set up a rule that says 'if it is a bounced email, then do an action based on which...
Hi all
Thanks for your responses. A little more info for you...
So I can get Access to return all Memo data. It is in the export to Excel that it gets truncated. That is, if I export to HTML or RTF all of the data is there.
I'm using a macro to do the export.
Any ideas why the export to...
I have been sure not to select the Memo field in the DISTINCT query, but it still doesn't work. Would you mind looking over the SQL?
The first query selects the records with an ID of publishingId
The second query uses this and then pulls in the Memo field (PublishingInfo as Notes)
However, it...

I thought I'd try an be clever be writing a query (without a 'distinct') that linked to the query with the 'distinct' - but that didn't work. Neither does using an IN statement that looks at the query with a 'distinct' so it seems that if there is a 'distinct' or 'group by' anywhere, then...
Sorry, my apologies, I'm acutally not using GROUBY BY at all. The SQL is below. There are a couple of IN statements. Does this have the same effect?
SELECT DISTINCT t_Publishing.PublishingDate AS [Key Date], t_Company.CompanyName AS Company, t_Contact.ContactName AS Contact...
Hi
I have a table with a field of Data Type 'Memo'. When I query this field, the results are limited to around 250 characters (some are cut off after 249 characters, some after 253, etc, etc). Is there a way to return the full text?
Thanks again
I think the solution offered here
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=211303
is a true solution to the problem whereas the others are workarounds (all good to know though).
I did actually get it to work, you just have to perform the merge before you see the true results.
Cheers
Thanks for the advice.
I think I may have found a solution:

{ If { MERGESEQ } = "1" "{ MERGEFIELD Name }" ""}<ENTER>
{ SET Place1 { MERGEFIELD Name }}<ENTER>
{ If { Place2 } <> { Place1 }"<ENTER>

Hi
Just wondering if it is possible to do grouping in a Word mail merge? For example, if my data source looked like this:
NAME, PETS
Colin, Dog
Colin, Cat
Colin, Fish
Dawn, Dog
Dawn, Parrot
Would it be possible to group on NAME so that 'Colin' was treated as one record, so therefore there...
Hello
I'm using ISA Server with SurfControl. Everything that uses port 80 goes through the proxy server.
We trying to use a web-based application that has an embedded java applet. The java applet fails to load (a particular XML file) because the user can't be authenticated.
How do you...
Ah, the user needs read/write/delete priv for the directory. If not, the first person in will cause the database to be placed in read only exclusive mode.
I have an Access database on our network at work. In one directory, any number of users (within a defined Group) can simultaneously open the database and read/write data.
However, in another directory, though each user (same Group) can open the database and read/write data, no-one else can open...
Hi Skip
This achieves what I was after
{IF {MERGEFIELD ContactTitle}="" "Sir/Madam" {MERGEFIELD "ContactTitle"}} {IF {MERGEFIELD ContactTitle}<>"" {MERGEFIELD "ContactFirstName"} ""} {IF {MERGEFIELD ContactTitle}<>"" {MERGEFIELD "ContactLastName"} ""}
However, I was hoping that I could...
