correct...converted 100% to all SIP trunks so no T1 available even as an option. I know SIP and faxing don't play well together as it is so i'm looking for anything that might help either explain part of the problem, or support adding a T1 for the clocking.
Does anyone have a good explanation on why a PN and/or media gateways need a T1 sync source? I've read that you can have faxing issues when using FoIP (which we are doing...and having issues) but i'm looking for more supporting documentation or general details.
Any thoughts?
I'm adding an ESS into the environment and wondering if I need to reset the chassis after?
current: PE, LSP
future: PE, ESS, LSP
clear mgc list
set mgc list PE, ESS, LSP
copy run start
Is a reset absolutely necessary? I'd like to avoid the down time if at all possible.
thanks!
I’m testing SLS on a G450 that has 5 CO trunks. When in SLS and a user dials 9+ 7/10/11 digits, it appears the call is routed to the same number I believe in the public network. I can TAC dial the trunk group and dial out fine but never 9+ dialing. I even removed “9” as the ARS1 FAC and added as...
Final fix was to newer hardware vintage. Both current cards firmware went to 79....the latest given the hardware vintage. Still doesn't make much sense since we had good caller id on one of the 5 COs.....even when we moved the circuit to the other MM card. So, hardware never appeared to be an...
I haven't tried a physical phone, just the caller ID box from the 90's. On the 1 good CO, I get caller ID on both the box and the phone on the PBX when my test call rings through CM processing. On the other 4, I get caller ID on the box but not when running it through the CO.
Could the T/R...
Correct....all the same trunk group. I changed the "Receive Analog Incoming Call ID" on the trunk group to Bellcore, NTT and V23-Bell to make sure it wasn't a matter of the 1 of the 5 COs being configured differently or using different CO equipment...but no change.
I have CM6 running on a 8300/G430 with a MM711 8-port analog/trunk card.
Caller ID feature is active and verified on all 5 of the loop-start trunks but I only get caller info on 1 of the 5 COs. I get caller info on all 5 COs when I put an old caller ID box on each circuit but only get it on 1...
We recently upgraded CM5.2.1 to CM6.3 and moved the MM5.2 from SES to SM. When the message button or voicemail access number is dialed, the SIP domain is displaying on the phone display. Prior to the upgrade, the voicemail hunt group name displayed.
I also tried changing settings on the SIP...
