Okay, so I grabbed my Ubuntu laptop and hooked the BCM hard drive to it. I pulled as much data off the 10 different partitions as I could. Where should I be looking for the file I need that contains the license info?

Working on setting up a basic system for a client, just 2 pots lines, and 6 digital stations, 221-226.
I've set up all 6 voice mail boxes in call pilot manager, and initialized the voice mail boxes on each hand set including the 100 general delivery box.
How do I add an indicator light on...
I found a spare hard drive that I had laying around that had release 6.0 on it, and that booted in the box.
Obviously, none of the keycodes are active, now that I'm on a new piece of hardware.
I just need to get 6 digital sets and a couple of the analog trunks turned on.
Anyone here good...
I am trying to see if I can rebuild a BCM 50 for a friend. I believe the hard drive is non functional. Can anyone assist? I do have some spare working hard drives laying around - is it possible to drop one in and get it to load?

Often times users find stuck lines on the bcm system after transferring a call using the "link" function to an external number. Physically breaking the copper connection to the bcm system clears the lines.
Lines show up as "line in use" when they are stuck.
Rebooting the system works too, but...
I have a bunch of Nortel / Avaya 1230's in use with my BCM50 R5.0 system, and I'd like to try and get lines appearing on the attached Key Expansion Modules strapped to each unit. We have 12 pots lines at our business, and I'd like to have all 12 lines appear on each phoneset. There are only 10...
I think I can work with that.
How do I correctly set up night mode so that selected DN's ring on incoming outside POTS calls when the mode is enabled?

I have a few questions concerning night ringing service on my BCM-50 R5.0 systems.
I'd like to set up night ringing service so that the front desk receptionist can hit the "night ringing" button at the end of the work day, and that will cause extra DN's in the building to ring on incoming...
I have a Nortel IP phone deployed in a warehouse - it's a 1210 with very few LCD lines. I'd like to try an provide the guys a feature code that they can use to pick an outside line when they need to make phone calls.
The physical lines set up on our system are:
061 - Line 1
065 - Line 2
066 -...
Okay, I was able to get this phone successfully downgraded from Avaya IP Office SIP firmware version 12x0.01.01.04.00 to UNISTIM firmware version 062AC8Q.
At first, trying to get the phone to upgrade during the firmware check at software load would not work. It kept asking for an .xml file...
Okay, we've made some progress. I can get the phone to reach out to my TFTP server and make contact. It's grabbing what I believe to be the correct .cfg file in this case, which is 1230.cfg
Here's the contents of my .cfg file:
[FW]
DOWNLOAD_MODE FORCED
VERSION 062AC8Q
FILENAME 062AC8Q.BIN...
I figured it out. I found a pdf of the Nortel SIP setup guide online, and in the Web configuration section of the document, it referenced a stock password of 1234. I tried it and it worked. I now have full Admin privileges to the network configuration. From here it should be easy to push down...
Picked up a used Nortel 1230 IP phone, and is has SIP firmware version 12x0.01.01.04.00 installed. I would like to reprogram the phone with UNISTIM firmware. I have most everything set up with my TFTP server program, all my .cfg files are in place and ready, but I can't seem to find a way to get...
Thanks bcmfiftyfan and telcodog. I will be using an analog station with the UTI-1 solution. Just need to get my analog stations activated at one of the locations and order some hardware.
I'll report back with results. Thanks!

No, I'm only trying to broadcast a page across the remote location.
I like the idea that bcmfiftyfan provided. Can you provide some more details on that solution?

I DO have IP phone capability, but I don't believe an i2001 set will work. An 1100 would work however. I'm using several 1230's at most of the sites now.
If I were to use an 1100 IP phone, I don't understand how I could dial the extension of that phone and have it immediately answer the call...
I have a group of four BCM-50 r.50 systems that are all networked together in a local LAN, allowing for local station dialing between remote locations. (for example, a user picks up their T7316e digital handset at site A and dials a 4 digit station number and another T7316e rings at a location...
