Yesterday one of offices wanted to have some users swap desk. I enabled Set relocation, had them move the phones (T7316E's) and then I turned Set relocation off. The extensions that swapped were 501 and 502.
They call me back a little while later and tell me that when you call 502 it rings on...
They have not said just yet. Will be meeting soon to find out more. Getting a head start to be ahead of the process.
I did find this article which might be a starting point. Nortel 61C PBX to Cisco IP Telephony Migration
We have recently decided to migrate from our Nortel CS1000 to Cisco. I am needing to capture all of our existing configurations and information that will be necessary for our vendor who will be assisting with rollout. I am still a newbie on the CS1000 and would like some feedback from folks who...

Just thought of this with the round robin setup. Can an automated attendant be used in front of it? The setup I'm going for is:
[ol 1]
Incoming calls on 800#
Hits automated attendant mainly to handle greetings and date & time.
Then send call to group
[/ol]
Needing some help identifying what I already have in place and how to get a round robin style group setup. Below is my existing ACD. Not sure if it can be modified to be round robin or am in in the wrong place. Not very familiar with all of this.
TYPE ACD
CUST 0
ACDN 7010
MWC NO
DSAC NO
MAXP...
How do I program button 9 of a 7316E to be line 61 or any other from within the BEM? When I click on the button from with Button Programming only get Internal or External Autodial or Feature.
SS67, yep, no hardware changes, just software on BCM50's. 5.0 to 6.0 took us 3.5 hours. Some of it could be slimmed down now that we've gone through it once. But any improvement will help when doing a couple at a time every other night.
We have copies of the upgrade and patches all sitting on a server local to the offices with the BCM50.
Can you apply keycodes and do backups while users are still actively using the PBX?
New to the BCM's. Working on upgrading eight of them from 5.0 to 6.0. Did one last night and it was painful to sit and wait for everything to complete. 3.5 hours. Anyone have tips or tricks they use for speeding up the process? We didn't start any of the work till the office was closed. Looking...
Anyone ever try running a softphone from any of these vendors on a vm over VMWare through a thin terminal? I see that HP and Dell have something to install at the terminals client level but what if you don't use them?
Great conversation here.
Looks like that 24 months has been shorten to 4-6 months. We've narrowed it down to Avaya, Cisco and Microsoft. We're thinking SIP to the HQ and the use our MPLS to the remote sites. Then we can justify upgrading their circuits at the same time. Next step is getting...
I'm having trouble finding documentation that verifies SP3 for Windows Server 2003 is compatible with CallPilot Manager 5.00.41.68 All the 5.0 docs I find mention SP2. 5.1 docs show SP3 again we are on 5.00.41.68. Can anyone verify that they have a box running SP3 without issues, and maybe even...
Who here is starting to or has replaced their CS1000? What are you looking at and why?
Nothing wrong with ours but we are starting to evaluate our communication needs for the next 10+ years. Clearly we are looking at VoIP and moving to SIP. We have 500 users at corporate office on the CS1000...
How does everyone keep track of their cable drops and 66/110 blocks.
I more specifically interested in how folks keep track of things like TN, Raiser Pairs, Cable #, Cube #, ect.
Right now we use a spreadsheet which has served well and don't seem to have issues since we are good at...
Coming back to in hopes of some new eyes. I will re-summarize in hopes of clarifying what his happening.
Calls come in and get directed to a CallPilot application. It runs through the flow and during business hours dumps the calls out to an ACD group. If calls come in during afterhours they get...
Ok so a little testing I and now understand (I think) a little more. The application is set to transfer to cell with 9+number. I am assuming because it dials the 9 to get a line it is like it's making another outbound call instead of a direct transfer.
So here is what I am seeing. If the...
