FEATURE 811 works when the phone is ringing. Also, when the receiver is picked up, the caller ID shows up, too (without FEATURE 811)

Curlycord, I just finished going through your step by step and I got it working!
Now, my only complaint is that when someone calls me, I do not see the caller ID, just the XXX>300 like you said above. I suppose there is no way to show the caller ID, is there?

Not yet, thanks for explaining how to do it, though. I've been put in charge of maintaining the phone system in our office, and while I am able to navigate the menus and do the basic stuff involving VM, I am still unfamiliar with some of the terms and features. I have some learning to do.
Really? It seems like if you have two extensions/VM set up, then the caller will be forwarded to the VM of the respective extension. Also, accessing any VM from any set is not problem, either. Or are you saying that when answer DN is set, the call is transferred to the other extension?

I share a single phone with a colleague, and as of right now there is only one extension (his) that rings to the phone. Up until now I have been giving my contacts his extension so they can reach me, but it is confusing when they hear his VM message.
