Thanks Coorsman,
That could be part of the problem. I found a virus on their system which wasn't even in any databases and a mail server setup called Sockz.conf. I've since removed but they are still having strange issues with citrix and logmein not working. The owner said he was going to have...
Thanks for the quick response coorsman. I've set the server to ping and output to a text file. I also set up nagios to monitor their internet from outside. Looks like the waiting game again...
We're having a lot of credit card transactions failing and the server is needing to be rebooted daily, sometimes a few times a day. I had them write down the times they experienced this and here's some dumps from the debout.edc
Jun 11, 11:14:55 [2616] Can not access Terminal...
I can't get the callerID to work on the terminals. I have the Rochelle 2045 hooked up to the BOH server. When doing a test, it outputs callerID info, but when someone calls in and the bartenders look at the terminal, the number doesn't show up.
Any ideas?
Well I setup the CallID as Rochelle on Com3 and did a test call. It showed me data but the Terminals still are not pulling any callerID data.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hopefully this is the last question I have to get everything back to normal.
I didn't realize they had a CallerID system when I reinstalled everything. It's a Rochelle Model 2045 Multi-Line Adapter.

Yea I must have entered in a wrong sec # or something. I wish I had put XP in this from the beginning. It was super smooth getting everything to work again.
Thanks again for all the help Coorsman! You're the man!
I moved our Aloha server to a new server. After installing Aloha I brought it to the office and swapped the security keys. Now, whenever I start aloha, it says CTLSVR "Cannot run version 5.3.19, only authorized for 5.0
The old server is running version 5.3.20 so it is authorized for 5.3.xx
Any...
Coorsman, I just looked on Dell's website and the server does have drivers for WinXP so I'm going to downgrade the OS to make this actually work. Let me know if you have any recommendations.
Thanks again
To add to that. Alohamgr would not start up properly until I copied the data back to c:\aloha
So yes it's the environmental variables, but seems to be more of a problem with win7 and the paths actually working correctly.
Are there other variables I'm missing?
I set the following
IBERROOT=Aloha...
They are both set already. It seems to be an issue with Aloha 5.3 being installed into a different directory. Coorsman had me install it in c:\BOOTDRV\Aloha
I've verified my variables for iber are correct and ctlsvr runs just fine when it's set.
To add a little more troubleshooting. When running ctlsvr.exe /service it outputs the error "Database version is Not Current. Run Database Upgrade.
I've run dbconfig.exe and it successfully runs the upgrade, but I still get that error.
Alright, so I reinstalled everything under the correct location c:\bootdrv\aloha and I still cannot get ctlsvr to run without crashing. Let me know when you're around to do a gotomeeting.
Thanks
Thanks for the info. I'll go ahead and remove aloha and reinstall it in the correct location and move all their data this weekend. Do you have a gtalk/gmail handle or should I just post in here after I'm done to see about getting you to log in at some point and check it out?
Thanks!
Sorry coorsman, forgot to answer the other questions.
I followed your tutorial on installing and changing the settings manually.
ipv6 is disabled in the lan properties, was I supposed to remove it via the registry instead?
Aloha is installed in c:\Aloha with c: being shared as BOOTDRV so the...
