I don't have a "lines" under config... A few posts up is a map of the headings.. Does that mean I'm logging into the system with the wrong credentials and if so, what should I be logging in as?
I'm now home and can't check - I may go in tomorrow to give it another go..
From memory though, in that menu - I only have "redirect ring: Y"

If the "Disconnect Supervision" is 'hiding' in a menu I haven't found yet, I'd still like to know if you wouldn't...

This gives me the same problem as what I did this morning...
All works until it is time to nominate the outbound line, at this point all lines are "Redirect denied" errors - whatever is preventing me from doing this - I hope the above suggestion of 'Disconnect supervision' will solve!

I'm sorry! I'm not trying to be a pain but I can not find this setting anywhere - under what heading would I find it and with what login - ADMIN or CONFIG?
I have nothing from the provider as all of the relevant paperwork left when the disgruntled IT guy left.
The videos are in .mp4 format recorded on my mobile phone.
In essence, when I try to redirect a line -
Feature 8 4
Select Line 1 (by button [Line 1] )
enter in external number
then...
Buttons
Line 1 - 4 > shows L001 - L004
If press SHOW, each of the buttons say
"Not Redirected"
Following your instructions (pressing 9 to get outside line first time gives me Line 31 - HOLD - and pressing 9 again gives me Line 32
Not sure why this isn't working! :(

I don't mind if 2 channels are burnt to do the forward - I just want to find a solution even if it isn't the best one (I agree with you and others that moving the ports makes the most sense, it is just a shame I don't have the 'final' decision making powers to facilitate that)...

To be 100% honest, I'm not sure what I have.. :(
The Norstar system I quoted to have was *only* based on the fact it looked most like what I have in my comms cabinet and the following walk-thru which I found based on the quoted model number worked to log into the system admin:

I will look into the porting option, however they have already been quite clear that they do not want to port the number across which is why I am trying to find a work around.
Just out of curiosity, if the system doesn't offer redirect - why does the manual say I can redirect using FEATURE 8 4...
