cAN DATA IN A TABLE BE "TRIMMED" FROM THE RIGHT OR LEFT?

Data in a field in a table has some "excess" characters. The characters are not identical in each field but the "excess" characters are preceded by a pound sign. Can I ask Access to trim away all those unwanted characters after the pound sign? How? I am not a code writer but I think there might...

I can't seem to establish a link between the Access table and the Word table and am wondering if this is possible at all. I would like...

Absolutely refuses to find the operating system

TekTippy- This computer won't boot from a rescue disk, a boot floppy, a boot CD. It is simply not seeing the Hard drive and I can't get a handle on why. Reinstalling the OS would not be a problem if the computer would see a hard drive onto which an OS could be installed. I will try another...

Thanks for you quick response. I did in fact try another hard drive but a friend and I disagreed on how to install it. I said we should just pull out the original hard drive that was the problem and plug in the other hard drive know to be good. He suggested (and won out) that we could just...

multiple, identical email from a known sender

Ecobb- It is certainly a possibility but not at all probable. This is now how this lady would act. It is not something she would be doing. Possible but highly improbable. Assume, However that I had been signed up somewhere as a prank, I don't think that the emals would be multiples but rather...

multiple, identical email from a known sender

2FFat- So far, Every instance of a multiple email also has an attachment like a humorous picture, humorous story, etc. So it looks as if my ISP is not stripping away any attachments. I would also assume that if an attachemnt were stripped or quarantined, the ISP would send an alert or report...
