    Optical Devices not detected after upgrading to WInXP

    I did a upgrade from winme to winxp, now the DVDROM and CDRW is not listed on MYCOMPUTER and on device manager it's got a bang, i tried to uprgade the drivers, no go, the drives are working fine DOS and listed in CMOS, can anyone help me with this, is this a known issue? thank you Bruce
