Hard Disk format
I have just installed a slave drive with 13Gb on it. It is only formatting to 8Gb. Is this because my BIOS cannot recognize anything above 8Gb??? And if so can I use Partition Magic or similar to allow the remaining 5Gb to be seen. Any other alternatives???- alip

Slave Hard Disk
Thanks for the response. I was aware of all these points and had (I thought) carried them out. However, point 2 intriged me, so I change the jumper on the master to master with slave and rebooted - this time it did not see the master. Changed it back, rebooted and reran fdisk on the slave and...- alip

Slave Hard Disk
OK - A common problem this and will hopefully be met with a quick answer. I had 2 disks on my machine, 40Gb Master and 10Gb Slave. I have just replaced the 10Gb Slave with another 40Gb drive (identical to the Master). The problem is getting this drive recognized. The BIOS seems to see it...- alip
