    That was it - indeed, it is from libdc1394, and I did find it within internal.h (I didn't see the trail connecting this to camera.h) - I am trying to port this to an xcode application... Thanks again.

    I am trying to interpret the following line of code: dc1394_t* dc1394_new (void); I read this as a function with void argument, which returns a pointer to type dc1394_t The problem is that there is no reference to or definition of the type dc1394_t. Is there some other interpretation of this...
