WE currently have a 2621 doing NAT duties, but due to the large number of static entries, startup-config is too big to fit into NVRAM.
We got around this by getting the config from a TFTP server using the boot host... command, but would like to upgrade to a routerwith native support for >32K...
Have you had your *free* IOS update as a result of the SNMP flaw? This may get you to ver 12.X for free.
Ver 12.2(6c) that we run didn't need any upgraded RAM or Flash - image was around 6 Meg.

From the CISCO web site there appears to be contradictory info regarding the capabilities of WIC-2T cards:
