As I understand, using HTML item and JavaScript is necessary.

I'm creating a report that should be generated for all available formats.
There's no problem with HTML and PDF formats.
But when I create the report for Excel format (no matter which one) I can't open it in Excel. As if format isn't correct.
Also when I want to deliver the report in XML or...
Can somebody suggest what's the best practice in formatting reports?
HTML for instance. If I set formatting, my report displays correctly in MS IExplorer but is messed up in Firefox. If I generate PDF using the same formatting (Positioning, Sizes etc.) the report is even more messed up.
