If you are looking at integration using the desktop client then you are out of luck. If you want to try Message Forwarding Rule then that will work well. You just need to enable MFR in the mailbox class and then make sure that you have the correct SMTP/Proxy entered under messaging. Change the...
Try the following - https://servername/cppwdchange. Or if you are connected at a console on the CallPilot server replace servername with localhost. Remember it must be "https".
Good Luck,
Barnie
Yes, there is an option called "Minimum Length of a Call Answering Message" under Messaging->Messaging Management through CallPilot manager. If this setting is too high then a quick message, (Hi,it's John. Call me.), may be lost. Using the Session Trace tool on the server will show you this...
No, MyCallPilot is not required. Looks like you may have an issue with the integration as the MWI should go out on both the phoneset and the task tray icon when the message is opened. When you delete the message from the inbox it will place it in the deleted items folder and not remove it from...
Is this a real CallPilot or BCM/Norstar version? If real, then you can use the session trace utility to monitor the users mailbox. Typically this will prove the issue to the user, but on very rare occasions, (I have only seen it once since 1997), it may be an issue with not enough buffers...
The tool is called NMns_MWIAudit update and can only be accessed via support tools. The access is restricted to business partners and Avaya.
Good Luck,
Barnie
Agree, use session trace. (Although I have yet to prove this to a CallPilot issue but rather a user issue every time).
The "Message Disposition : Short Message Deleted - Session length says 38 secs and Message Length is 0, means someone left a message shorter than the minimum length, default is...
This is from the DTR -
6.14.1 Mark Original Message as Read when Opened by Recipient:
• The feature makes use of the Read Receipt capability of the e-mail server the message was forwarded to. With this option enabled, a Read Receipt will be requested to be returned to the CallPilot system...
Is this true desktop messaging or are you using the Message Forwarding Rule, MFR? There is a section in the DTR, 6.14.1, which addresses the read receipt issue when using MFR. I have not seen this with the desktop messaging client.
Good Luck,
Barnie
Check the VPIM shortcut and make sure you have the full digits as this affects the mailbox id in the CallPilot address book. This may be the reason for the shortened number.
Good Luck,
Barnie
I use a program called Windows Pass Reset. I could not find the exact program vi agoogle, but this works very well. Make sure you have a good backup, (run through CallPilot Manager). This is an offline utility that resets the "administrator: password only.
Good Luck,
Barnie
The FQDN is entered under "Messaging->Message Network Configuration->Server Properties" and should match the server name under "My Computer". IE - CallPilot.domain.com.
The Outgoing SMTP Mail/Proxy Server is configured under "Messaging->Message Delivery Configuration".
These should not be the...
Yes, you can use the AML trace from support tools. Or, if you are on release 5.0 with the latest beta patch SU09S, you can use Flight Recorder. Both of these will give detailed information on the OCN.
If you are not receiving the "...transferring to an attendant", it is most likely not even...
Not that I am aware. I just tried it on my lab system, (5.0), using IE 7.0, Chrome 8.0 and Firefox 3.6. to launch the CP manager site.
However, the web browser should have no affect as the CallPilot appBuilder program and the audio player run independently of the browser. Launch the appBuilder...
If it is the CallPilot manager password contact your vendor and have them reset the password via support tools.
If it is the OS password, (NT or Win2003), search the web for WindowsPassReset, (costs a few bucks), and reset the administrator password. Not supported by M$ or Nortel, but it will...
If the message has the following "your call cannot be completed at this time. Transferring to an attendant", then this is most likely CallPilot. I would look at the number that is originally called, (the OCN), as this is the number that CallPilot will be receiving and acting on. For example, if...
Yes I have done this many times. Use the System ->Backup/Restore and run an application archive. I would suggest that you archive the data to a network drive that both CallPilot systems can access. Then perform a restore of the archive to the second system.
See NN44200-601 Chapter 8.
