The only method to validate is to hire a hacker, get very acquainted to sniffer to monitor access, or a site that will query your protection. Do I need Zone Alarm?
My suggestion after having ZA on 5 different systems is no. If you get a good quality router, for the most part you wont need a firewall. I was a very big proponent and tried to find resolves to ZA until I was told that my OS was not supported. All but one system is Win2K Adv Server. The one...- hempjammer

Allow my other computers to access each other.
Rick I add Netbui to my protocol. This did two things, one bypassed ZoneAlarms and two is loads faster on a single segmented network. If you do not have a single segment, it will not work. Doug Bentley- hempjammer

VSMON.EXE and Internet bank site
I too was having this issue and it was driving me nuts because not only was it going up to 99% but causing BSOD on Win2K Advance Server that I do alot of DB work on.
