Is the IP Office still relevant in 2018?

Totally agree that the V2 power supply is more reliable. I think it will come down to numbers in the end, despite my desire to move forward and streamline things.

Is the IP Office still relevant in 2018?

Hi Joe, Another IPO in each office is probably a litte overkill for 3-5 users in the branches. It's not out of the question but would require more support services (£££) and make the exercise less atractive. I currently have two IPO's (V1 & V2) on a support contract - mainly for hardware...

Is the IP Office still relevant in 2018?

Hi, Thanks for all your comments, which tend to re-enforce my own thoughts. Keep the IPO, streamline my current SIP trunks and ensure I have some kind of ISDN/PSTN backup solution for the IPO & branch offices in the event of connectivity failure + plan for hardware upgrades in the near future...

Is the IP Office still relevant in 2018?

Thanks. The ADSL has always been an issue so I’ve run redundant services in each office to mitigate service issues, but I have been plagued with issues over time. Any recommendations would be helpful - especially if you think I should stay with the ISDN or move towards SIP on a leased line.

Is the IP Office still relevant in 2018?

Hi, Here we are at the end of 2017 going into 2018 and I'm still using equipment purchased 7-8 years ago (IPO500). I use a very poor mixture of ISDN and SIP trunks and hosted SIP phones and the time has come to streamline things. We are only a small office (16 phones) with 4 even smaller...

Two IP Offices, Two SIP Trunks, one Internet connection

Ok. It seems I'm going nowhere. Thank you for your help.

Two IP Offices, Two SIP Trunks, one Internet connection

Thank you for your comments. I do have a professional maintenance contract in place, but like any diagnosis from a Doctor I generally seek professional second opinions - which is the reason for asking. I'd still appreciate some advice to my original questions - especially in relation to the...

Two IP Offices, Two SIP Trunks, one Internet connection

Hi, I have a scenario that has presented itself which I would like some advice on. We have two IP Office 500's, each will have one or more SIP trunks, but we only have one internet connection for the voice traffic. (Call usage is very light on each + we have ISDN also) The systems are not yet...

    Help diagnose a sick IP500v2

Hello, I am still waiting for it to fail again. However, in the meantime I have come across the following error in the Alarm log. <TLB Data> Abnormal termination addr=00000024 d=5 pc=f071abe0 stack=f071bc84 f071ad4c f073ab94 f06f6c88 Doing a quick search seems to indicate that a) I upgrade...

    Help diagnose a sick IP500v2

Hello Thank you for replying. It is running 6.0.18 and there were no clues in the logs of system status alarm (other than a cold start when I power cycle it) I've set up logging now and will see if it yields any further information. Thank you

    Help diagnose a sick IP500v2

Hi, I have an IP500v2 which is failing every 2-3 days and cannot diagnose exactly what is causing the issue as there are no log entries. The symptoms showing are: - Immediate disconnection - No display on any handset - All red lights on the front. (Port 1,9 and Port 1,9) - No IP connectivity...

    IP Office 500 v1 - No lights

I seem to be getting lots of nasty surprises recently. Thanks for the warning :-) However, my replacement v1 chassis arrived a few hours ago and was up and running shortly thereafter. Disaster averted for the time being ! Thank you for your comments.

    IP Office 500 v1 - No lights

Thank you for your replies. I have managed to source a replacement chassis which is currently winging it's way towards me in the next hour or so. Hopefully I'll be up and running shortly thereafter .... if not I'm sure I'll be back for some help :-) I'll probably replace this later with a v2 to...

    IP Office 500 v1 - No lights

Hello, I wonder if someone can assist me. I powered down my IP Office 500v1 this evening and it has failed to start up. There are no lights at all and no sign of life. I seem to recall that this is either a fuse or requires a new CCU as it happened once before many years ago. We are out of...

Connecting Two IPO 500 by SIP Trunk

Hello, I've done a fair bit of searching (and head scratching) to try to find a solution to connecting my two IPO500's together by SIP. One is a v1 on 4.2. The other is a v2 on 6.0.18 Firstly, as far as I understand it, I can't use a H323 trunk without purchasing a relatively costly voice...

Configuring SIP Trunks on LAN2 of IP Office 500v2

Thanks HSM, However, from my conversations they are very limited in what they will (or are able) to do. I have considered moving away, but I'm going though quite a few physical BT changes at the moment, so until this project has completed I need to remain where I am. Let me know your contact...

Configuring SIP Trunks on LAN2 of IP Office 500v2

Thanks Bas1234, I'll widen the udp ports tomorrow to see if this makes a difference. As I was writing the previous post, I was thinking I ought to try this. Can't do anything until tomorrow now.

Configuring SIP Trunks on LAN2 of IP Office 500v2

Hi Kevin, Thank you for your input. I've tried various options in the topology settings depending upon whether I was trying it on LAN1 via Nat or LAN2 via the public IP. None seemed to make a reliable difference. I've currently reverted back to the LAN1/Nat option and the SIP trunk is...
