This seems to fix it: Open each problematic Crystal Report *.rpt file File > Summary Info > Template: leave blank (was 'LOCALDSN' without the quotes)- shellld

Sorry turkbear, didnt see your response until now. The popup error doesn't show me a severity code, only the information I posted in my original post. Also nothing shows in the Windows Event Viewer (Application, Security & System) logs. How do I find this information out please? :)- shellld
