I got it going, I had to change the network services on the channel group to something else (maybe I picked local 5ESS?). I had it on call-by-call before.
I also found the dongle and ensured there were no wierd rules anywhere in ARS.
I also added the second PRI board back in and did a board...
I got a couple boards from Ebay and found some may have been on a system that wasnt updated, especially Magix boards in Legend carriers. Does anyone have the latest legend/magix update cards?
(I just mess with these for fun in a home lab environment)

I might even have to search my own posts because I probably asked this same question a year ago last time I messed with it LOL. update: Yes, and TO THE DAY one year ago https://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1813370). Seems I had both cards working then, now I'm wondering why the second...
So up front, this is a play system for goofing around and trying different things. I have a Merlin Legend v7 with (2) 100D cards in it (slots 4 and 5). (One shows as 100D, another shows as 100D-U in inventory).
Wondering if anyone's seen these kinds of issues, or if one or both of my 100D cards...
Shower thought: I dont know if key mode uses trunk pools, but if so, add an additional LS trunk to the pool, then put a patch cord between that trunk jack and a T/R jack. Then if the MLX phone answers and you want to transfer it to another "unknown" phone, transfer it to that T/R extension and...
I haven't tried that feature yet, but if the T/R phone is on-hook, can you conference to it? I just tried on mine and was able to conference an analog phone (old Merlin) and 2 T/R sets.
Another idea - what if the MLX phone puts the call on hold?
Going back to what Dexman said, why couldn't they allow Magix to run the Analog phones? That would have been a LEGEND-ary setup :-)
I have one of each I use for play and wish I could just pick one, but I had to have a couple of the analog phones for the ring tone alone (and nostalgia reasons...
Right now we have a standard Mitel phone in our vestibule that's bat-phoned to ring group that calls both an extension sitting at the receptionist desk (behind a locked door), and a phone connected to my PA system that just rings into the PA system. I'd like to change this to call an outside...
To your first question yes, ish. I have an Anynode SBC and was hoping to have a way to call into that phone from the SBC, but I dont think the phone has auto-answer functionality so all you'd hear over the PA is ringing. Its just a modded 52xx phone with wires connected from the speaker to the...
Yup I did mostly this since my last post, and have calls flowing over the PRI now. One gotcha I ran into was when in re-numbering, you have to renumber both the extensions AND adjuncts. I did find it interesting that the system was smart enough to tell me that I had a dial plan conflict when I...
Well I feel dumb...after I busied out and restored the T1 card on the Magix a bunch of times, I realized I never did so on the Legend, and uhh, that was it LOL. Both cards now seem to be talking, so now to do the crazy research of how to set up the dial plan for them to be able to call each...
So playing with my lil telecom phone lab, I have a Merlin Legend 7.0 r9 and a Merlin Magix R4. The legend has 2 100dcd T1 cards in it; one going to an Adtran 908e and that is working. The other I attempted to connect (via crossover cable) to the Magix, and I can't seem to get them to talk. The...
So I was researching our ability to page to a page group via DISA, and per the manual, DISA callers aren't allowed to page. That said, I have one phone connected to a PA system, so I figured hey if I can do a direct voice call to that particular phone, that gets me the loudspeaker which is good...
AHH ok - I guess that was my mistake, I was trying with a an analog/ATL phone. I have a 016 as well so I'll try that. I know at work the Mitel system we have you can set hotline on any type of phone.
I have a Merlin Legend R7 v9 at home for fun, it has some usual stuff like 408 MLX board, 008 ATL board, 016 and a 100D PRI/T1 board. I also have a couple spare boards including an extra 100D, 408MLX, and a 016 ETR board that seems to be a Magix board in a clamshell case. I understand the Legend...
I have a Legend in my home as well, just playing/for fun, and if you're not familiar with serial/RS-232, the easiest/fastest way to set it up, is to get a Lucent 355A adapter, which adapts the jack on the unit (printer jack is the upper one) to a DB25 serial port. From there you can get adapters...
I see the option on my V7 Legend for Hotline in the Extension menu, but not sure what it does as it only lets you turn it off or on for an extension.
