I had 2 clients up, from ipconfig /all I can see they both received ip addresses in 192.168.1.0 and they can both see the default router 192.168.1.20. sorry, i cant post that config now but it looked ok to me.

making some progress, after your suggestion burt I am seeing an ip now on dialer0 from my ISP. I also added
ip nat inside
for dialer0 per suggestion from Peter. Still not getting out to the Internet. More suggestions welcome.....
