I am working with a site that intermittently has credit card issues after reboots. Micros has reinstalled the driver several times, but it continues to happen.
This is from the 3700d log. Has anyone seen this before?

Still stuck on this one...
I have seen this behavior before, but it was limited to a specific RVC (RVC Credit Cards was set to "disable charged tip").
In this case, however, different employees in the same RVC are not being prompted to enter the tip amount while others are being prompted for...
This has happened to me on multiple VMs running Micros. Eventually, the mouse becomes hidden, but ONLY when it's over the ops application. As soon as I move it off that window I can see it again. The worst part is it's stuck like that, even after rebooting. I can no longer see the mouse...
I thought I would provide more info so hopefully someone knows how to fix this...
When I apply a tender, we'll call it Tender-A, and I'm logged in as a server or bartender, the tender prompts me to enter the portion of the payment that is for tip.
When I apply the same tender, Tender-A, and...
What would cause a tender to not prompt for tip when a manager applies the payment? The manager does not clock in with a job. Is this a setting in employee class?
Looked at the install guide for the 5.1 patch and didn't find anything related. I am running the 5.1 patch as admin, and have tried a few times. It still gets stuck at this step, but the progress shows 100%. Any clues here? Thanks.
Having trouble configuring an ODBC connection to a remote SQL server on a Micros server with two NICs. I have disabled windows firewall and the connection will still not work. Error is "unable to complete login process due to delay in opening server connection."
Has anyone seen this issue or...
I actually don't want to turn it off. I just wanted to verify it could not be turned off because I am programming a sim function that is affected by it.
Yes, I'm pretty sure it does. I usually use it and have not seen a problem in most cases. It only seems to not work if a credit card authorization exists on a check.
In Sim, the command VoidDetail does not appear to be working if a credit authorization exists on the check. Since this command fails silently, I have no clue what is causing the problem. If I manually void the same item on the same check, it does work. Any clues as to what is causing this or...
Can anyone tell me if the prompt "Credit Auth Exists, Abort Payment?" is configurable? Meaning, can it be turned off via a system setting?
Also, is this consistent across versions 4 and 5?
Thanks.
Thanks pmegan. I was just figuring out how to access the 32 bit odbc configuration when you posted that! Turns out my error was actually due to logging from the sim. I'll have to track that down, but at least I have the database connection working.
Thanks again!
Thank you, pmegan. I tried installing the 32 bit client and it wouldn't allow it. Is there a 32 bit version that gets installed with the 64 bit client?
Hoping someone has run into this one already and can help.
I have a SIM that uses SQL Server Native Client to connect to a SQL Server database to retrieve and update data. This works on RES 5.1 on Windows XP. However, on Windows 7 64 bit, I'm getting "input/output error" when attempting to...
Hi Moregelen - sorry for the delay and thanks for your help. We got the service up and running. It was just an issue with the IP address used to create the TCPListener.
To answer your question about DLLs, I haven't actually written one, but I know it can be done. I have often used the Micros...
Thanks, Moregelen. I actually know about SIM and licensing. My question is more related to the host TCP/IP service application and how it needs to be written to accept the messages coming from Micros SIM. I'm not using the Micros SVC interface as it does not accommodate our requirements. I...
update...after a reboot we are now getting "no response to message".
Perhaps the better questions is: Are there requirements for developing an interface/pms host service application to work with Micros?
Jitendra,
I am facing the exact same problem as you. I actually didn't find this post until after I started a new thread. Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks
